How is Thick Ass Glass Different?

In recent times, many glass pipe manufacturers have opted to produce thinner, smaller, and lower-quality glass in larger ququantities. Thick Ass Glass had the option to reduce costs by altering the production style, but chose not to compromise on quality. Each cost reduction inevitably leads to a decline in product durability and functionality. As a result, you can feel the difference when you hold one of Thick Ass Glass pieces—they are substantial and heavy. Even our smaller TAG pieces maintain a considerable weight and solidity.

Crafted for Excellence

Thick Ass Glass uses custom super thick joints, especially on the heavy wall beakers. TAG could save weight and production cost by producing a thinner joint (or thinner beaker), but this leads to weaker products that survive less impacts. TAG also produces diffusers with a high slit density (called Super Slit). These are difficult and time consuming to produce compared to a regular slit count. Without the high density in slits, the function can be heavily degraded in designs. There are many corners that could be cut in the production of glass, but Thick Ass Glass prefers to choose the best possible design outcome vs the easiest production method.
